DAY 14:  September 9

Only ten short calendar days until your first online homework assignment is due! At this point, you should be able to complete all but the following problems:

YOU CANNOT DO: 11.28, and Ice & Steam Engine Efficiency

After next Tuesday, you will be able to complete them all.

DAY 5:  August 26

Today we started to sign on to Mr. S's MasteringPhysics site, but were trying to get on after he'd set up the closing date. Whoops! Thought we'd get that done sooner. Anyway, for those that would like to sign up this weekend, here is the information:

Go to personschool.com/access, use your old information from last year to login. When it asks you for the first six letters of your code before proceeding, everyone will type in SSNAST. You then select Science, and our book (Knight/Jones/Field 3e). Make sure you get the correct book!

If you are in period 7, your code is: SSNAST-BAZOO-TELIC-AXMAN-PRATO-TAXES

If you are in period 8, your code is: SSNAST-QUAIL-TELIC-AXMAN-ELVIS-HEARD

The course ID for everyone is: SIMSAP21617

There are only a few problems you can do right now, so take the weekend off and don't worry about this--but I knew a few people would want to worry anyway...

HOMEWORK: Have  a great first weekend; you deserve it!

DAY 1:  August 22

Today Mr. S. handed out 1st semester's calendar, the packet (!), and we talked about the class in general (see the Rules page for any further clarification). We then did the notes page (p.13) on the Mechanical Universe video: Temperature and the Gas Laws as an intro to the start of the year's first topic: Thermodynamics.

HOMEWORK: Get your safety contract signed by Wednesday if possible, since we have a lab Thursday!

BLOG entries will only be posted for really weird stuff. I leave the class calendars below in clase you lose your copy showing what we did each day (and what you're responsible for making up on your own if you're absent).
